What ages do you teach?

We work with students as young as 3 years old all the way through adults. Our teachers adapt their approach based on your child’s age, attention span, and learning style. If you’re unsure if your child is ready, we’re happy to schedule a trial lesson to assess readiness.

Do you offer in-home lessons?

Yes! Inside Out Piano specializes in traveling to you for lessons in the comfort of your own home. We also offer online lessons for families outside our service area or with busy schedules.

Who are your teachers?

All teachers on our team are trained under the guidance of Dr. Xu Khuc, a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Pedagogy. We maintain high standards of teaching, warmth, communication, and musical excellence. Your child will be matched with a teacher who fits their personality and learning needs.

How much does it cost?

We charge a monthly flat rate to secure your weekly time slot starting at $285/month for a weekly 30-minute lesson. Additional options are available upon request. Trial lessons are available before enrollment.

What kind of piano or keyboard do we need?

We recommend an acoustic upright or grand piano for best results. However, a full-size, 88-key digital keyboard with weighted keys is acceptable for beginners. We’re happy to help you choose the right instrument for your child’s level and goals.

What if we need to miss a lesson?

We understand that life happens! If you provide at least 24 hours’ notice, we’ll do our best to offer a makeup, asynchronous video lesson, or reschedule. Missed lessons without notice are not refundable.

How do I sign up?

Click the “Get Started” button to submit an inquiry. We’ll reach out to schedule a trial lesson, match you with a teacher, and answer any specific questions you may have. Trial lessons are conducted in-home or online and are $79 for a 30-minute session that provides a consultation, teacher assessment, and personalized recommendations.

What cities do you serve?

We currently offer in-home lessons in: Newport Beach, Irvine, Tustin, Laguna Beach, Anaheim Hills, Huntington Beach, and Yorba Linda.

Other cities may be available upon request, depending on availability and travel feasibility.
